Someone’s Best Friend

November 6, 2018

A small fluffy dog sitting on a table, looking at the camera. The photograph is somewhat unfocused, and the little dog’s eyes are only dark smudges against white fur. Still, the dog appears very friendly – and someone certainly cared about this little pooch very much, since they wanted to immortalize their fluffy companion in a photograph. The photographer’s name at the bottom of the picture is so faded it has become unreadable, but the letters might be Cyrillic.

Unknown photographer, circa 1880 (?).
